Prosechen is a village in Northeastern Bulgaria, part of Suvorovo municipality, Varna region. The village is located between the towns of Devnya and Suvorovo, about 30 kilometers from Varna, 5 km southwest of the village of Chernevo and 9 km southwest of the town of Suvorovo.

The climate is temperate-continental and is characterized by cool summer, sunny spring, mild winter with heavy snowfall and cool spring. The area of the Suvorovo municipality is one of the areas in Bulgaria with the most sunny days a year. The relief is hilly and flat. The population numbers about 26 people. Altitude 353 m. The old name of the village was Boaz Kesen.

The village is fully supplied with water. The roads are in good condition. The nearest store is in the village of Chernevo, and there is a health service in the town of Suvorovo. There is regular railway transport to and from the city of Varna from the village of Chernevo.

The climate is the favorable atmospheric conditions that determine the production of fruits and vegetables of high quality. There is a large poultry farm in the village. The ecologically clean area, cool summer and mild winter offer opportunities for recreation and tourism.

Average is a wonderful destination for tourism or living for people who appreciate and seek peace, tranquility and close contact with nature in its purest form!

Average is mostly known for its forest. There are tourist routes that start their way from the hotel complex "Barite" after the village of Chernevo, and which lead to the beauties of the local nature, and in key places there are comfortable wooden benches and sheds with a hearth or an oven where food can be prepared. The forest of the village is very green, the paths are maintained, it has a rich biodiversity and it is a favorite place of local mushroom pickers. There are also signs to the key places that can be reached, namely the Spring, the Dry Fountain, the Red Fountain.


The spring - descends into a small ravine deep into the forest, from where the water springs straight from the bowels of the earth. A small creek forms, next to which there are wooden benches and a table, as well as a fire pit with a grill. In summer it is extremely cool and very green. On the slope on the other side of the spring there is an incredibly beautiful meadow that stretches along the fields. In this clearing you will find a fire pit as well as a small hut built from branches and dry grass. The best time to visit this meadow is in the early afternoon as the sun makes the air shimmer and the setting becomes almost magical.

The dry fountain - the water is safe to drink, there is also a canopy under which even in more inhospitable weather a whole company can gather. Recently, the hearth has been converted into an oven so you can bake something delicious regardless of the weather conditions. If you pass by, don't miss the small waterfall that is a few meters below. The interesting thing about the waterfall is that it flows through the roots of a tree, which pass through the thin layer of earth's soil and hang in the air below.
